About
About KACRAO

KACRAO has been at the forefront of professional development for higher education admissions and records professionals in Kentucky since 1924.  In fact, the Association is older than many of the schools it serves.

KACRAO is a non-profit, volunteer professional organization comprised of a diverse group of member schools (public, private, community, and technical) and individuals. While primarily aimed at supporting the work of records, registration, and admissions, it has extended its scope to include orientation personnel and some aspects of higher education technology.

KACRAO provides a variety of services to its members.  These include an annual conference in the fall, workshops in the spring and summer (see EVENTS page), and also coordinates a transfer fair schedule for the Commonwealth's community and two-year institutions.  An electronic newsletter, The KACRAO Communicator, is published three times a year.

KACRAO seeks to stay current with the many state and federal issues impacting higher education.  When something has the potential to affect our service to students, we can respond with a loud and respected voice in the higher education community.  Strong ties with regional and national associations (SACRAO and AACRAO) aid our efforts.

KACRAO is always looking for more talented professionals in our fields of focus to join us in our efforts to fulfill our mission through committee service and leadership.
